MY LOVE, I’M SO GRATEFUL THAT YOU’RE HERE.

I’d love to tell you a little story… and my hope is that it inspires you to see that your dreams are possible.

You’re my colleague, and I will ALWAYS make sure you know just how capable and worthy you are of building your dreams…

Because I wish someone did that for me when I was starting out.

I always dreamed of having a private practice. I dreamt of traveling the world, supporting my clients, and changing their lives through nutrition while I did it —

But as a brand new RD, I thought I needed more experience in clinical first.

I quickly realized that clinical was not for me. Then I thought maybe corporate dietetics was the answer… but it wasn’t.

One toxic job after the next...

And I was as determined as ever to make a difference yet felt like it was impossible in a traditional setting.

Not to mention, I was sick of working double the caseload while being constantly disrespected at work.

I was tired, unfulfilled, undervalued, underpaid, and overworked. And I was concerned that my passion for nutrition was fading.

Was it a mistake to go into dietetics?

I was unable to get rid of this nagging feeling that entrepreneurship could be the secret to loving life as an RD again, yet I was stuck in overwhelming self-doubt.

I was completely lost trying to get started…

It’s not like they had a rotation that explained how to start a private dietetic practice, nevermind teaching the business and marketing skills needed to create one.

And at the time, online nutrition businesses weren’t even a thing yet

Who was I supposed to ask for guidance and support — my family? My professors? My RD colleagues?

It was hard enough feeling like I was going to disappoint them for pursuing my dreams… especially when none of them thought my dreams were realistic.

But I kept envisioning a life of time, financial, and location freedom and I was convinced deep in my heart that it was possible.

I kept clinging to the belief that there had to be something more for me.
These toxic jobs couldn’t be it.

And I was certain that as scary as going for my dream seemed, I knew that NOT going for it would be the regret of a lifetime.

So at a time when no one had heard of an online nutrition business, I launched mine, specializing in functional and integrative nutrition, which was the opposite of the “popular niche.”

While it was exciting trying to bring my dream to life, my first 3 years in private practice were hard. I lost so much time and wasted tens of thousands of dollars on costly mistakes.

I had no one to turn to with my questions, and none of the “expert business advice” of the time seemed relevant to my practice because none of the “experts” understood dietetics.

I almost gave up so many times. No one really thought my business was going to become anything anyways... but eventually, it all came together.

Before I knew it, I was traveling the world and changing lives from wherever I was… like floating down the Amazon River, getting paid by clients back home who (finally) respected and valued my nutrition expertise.

I don’t know about you, but when I was studying biochem and internalizing the belief that no one goes into dietetics to make money, I never realized that our RD gives us access to deliciously luxurious possibilities to enjoy nutrition, business, and life on our terms —

Whether that looks like serving clients while sipping champagne and eating caviar on yachts, taking month-long vacations to hike and nourish our soul, or working whatever hours we choose from the comfort of home with a jar of buttercream on one side and a pup on the other.

And once I learned how to do that, as much as I loved my thriving private practice, I knew deep in my soul that it was time to step into my fullest light as your Dietitian Business Coach.

I don’t want a single dietitian to struggle like I did when I was turning my dreams into my reality.

After running a successful nutrition practice for 7+ years, I now get to live my new dream every day by helping you discover how worthy and capable you are of building yours.

I got into dietetics because I truly believe nutrition has the power to make an incredibly positive impact on people's lives, and I wanted to be part of that.

And now as The Dietitian Business Coach, I am so humbled every day as I get to watch the dietitian entrepreneurs in The JMN Family change the world as they heal, nourish, and lift up those they serve.
