28 Entrepreneur Affirmations for Dietitians

Registered Dietitians do incredible work for society. They’re essentially the sole people responsible for taking nutrition research and communicating it to people in a way they can understand. This role is SO important, yet it doesn’t always come with the appreciation and pay it deserves. Many RDs go out on their own to make a bigger impact and to be more valued in the industry, but the pressure of their tremendous responsibility can be stressful no matter how successful your private practice is!

Though being an RD is incredibly rewarding, it can also come with a lot of pressure. It’s easy to let negative thoughts swoop in, stealing your joy and your confidence in your practice. But, I don’t want anything to stand in the way of you and your dream nutrition business! Establishing healthy mental health practices is essential to keeping a POSITIVE and ACCURATE outlook on your role as a private RD. Positive affirmations are one of my favorite tools for practicing self-care and maintaining a strong resolve while you overcome all the challenges of being an entrepreneur!

Here are some affirmations to use as an RD growing their own private practice:

How Do You Use Affirmations As A Dietitian?

Write down your affirmations in a planner, journal, or display board.

If you’re ready to start incorporating affirmations into your daily routine, write them in a planner you use every day, in a dedicated journal, or on some sort of dedicated display board! Think a letterboard or whiteboard that you can see all day long while you meet with clients.

Speak your affirmations out loud before sessions.

Another way to use affirmations is to say them out loud. I recommend even saying them out loud right before a session to help you maintain a positive and confident attitude. It’ll help you remember that you are an AMAZING and TALENTED professional worthy of respect and clients.

Meditate on your affirmations every morning.

If you like to meditate, here’s a good place to integrate your affirmations! Set your intentions before you start, close your eyes, repeat your affirmation silently, and visualize that affirmation being true (because it is). Finish your mediation with gratitude!

Read your affirmations on pre-made cards.

Reading affirmations can be another smart way to focus on what’s true and positive. Write your affirmations on cards and read them before sessions, first thing in the morning, or any time you’re feeling down.

Consider integrating them into your sessions.

If you find affirmations to be super beneficial for you, they could be helpful for your clients, too! You could consider finding affirmations that work well for your nutrition niche and use them in your sessions.
